why we are building it
Less instruction. More discovery.
Traditional music tools often begin with notation, menus, and rules. We wanted to begin with a gesture instead: a dot, a curve, a color, and the surprise of hearing it play.
The result is useful for beginners, children, teachers, and experienced musicians who want a quick sketchbook for sound. You can play freely first, then explore pitch, rhythm, keys, scales, and timing when you are ready.
inspiration
Where the idea began.
This project was inspired by Play Music Theory, an original visual instrument by artist and designer Tala Rae Schlossberg. Her work showed how a line on a screen could become a playful musical gesture.
